Latasha Hicks is a Community Development Specialist with the City of Tampa’s Housing & Community Development (HCD) Division. HCD administers federal and state housing programs that assist low to moderate-income households with their housing needs. Latasha is a licensed real estate agent with Brooks Realty Group, a HUD-certified housing counselor, and a Certified Occupancy Specialist. She has over 15 years of experience in the affordable housing industry and over 30 years of experience in customer service. She facilitates various homebuyer education workshops as well as educates real estate agents and lenders. She was nominated for the Housing and Education Alliance Tom Zuniga Education Award in 2019. Latasha is also a licensed life insurance and annuities agent. She is a native of Tampa. She graduated from Tampa Bay Vocational Technical High School and Florida Metropolitan University. Latasha is the mother of 2, a grandmother of 3 and a member of River’s of Life Church Ministries in Brandon, FL.
